My name is Janet Visbeek, a Hem of His Garment Bible study leader for the Healing Hearts Ministry. In 2012, my friend kept talking about this great Bible study, so I signed up for the study online. The study helped me let go of bitterness toward someone who repeatedly sinned against me, and revealed my own heart condition. My change of heart was not immediate, but God continued to soften my heart over the next few years, and I came to a place where I not only forgave but actually loved this person! The change of heart was truly a miracle of the LORD!
The Healing Hearts Ministry exists to bring gospel-centered, grace-filled healing through the study of God’s Word to people broken by sin, one heart at a time. Healing Hearts leaders are under the authority of their respective local churches. It has been my privilege to serve as a trained Healing Hearts Ministry leader since 2012.
Healing Hearts offers six studies: for teen girls: First Love; for teen boys: The Fight of Your Life; for post-abortive women: Binding Up the Brokenhearted; post-abortive men: Restoring the Father’s Heart; broken women: The Hem of His Garment; for broken men: The Good Fight.
I am passionate about these Bible studies because they change hearts and lives, including God’s continued work in my heart. God shows me a new area to change each time I go through the study with clients. Souls are set free through the understanding and application of God’s Word, the gospel. Obvious changes are observed in some of the women who complete the study. No sin is greater than what Jesus’ blood sacrifice is able to cover. Free from sin, guilt, and shame; free to live as who God created us to be!

A portion of each donation to the HH Ministry goes into an account for me to use for materials and attending the September annual conference in Dallas, Texas. The annual conference provides opportunities to receive teaching from God’s Word from a keynote speaker and HH leaders.
