Lisa Brown
I’m Lisa Brown, currently training to be a Healing Hearts Biblical Counselor. I am passionate about Healing Hearts because I had an abortion at age 16 and lived in hidden shame until I was 41 years old. That is when I discovered Healing Hearts and completed the post-abortive bible study called Binding up the Brokenhearted. I had already received the gift of salvation but couldn’t grasp that God would really forgive me for the horrible thing I had done. I constantly asked for forgiveness. But I was stuck in the fact that I couldn’t forgive myself. In the study I learned it didn’t depend on me forgiving me. If I could do that, Jesus would not have had to die on the cross. Through that study I learned that if I didn’t accept the free gift of forgiveness that Jesus died for, I was just adding another sin to my list. The redeeming relationship with Jesus gave me purpose and set me free to be who God made me to be.
I would like financial support so that I can purchase many materials in order to spread the word of the Healing Hearts bible studies. I would also like prayer support that God’s will be done through this ministry. It is not just for post-abortive women and men but also for women and men who have been wounded by sin. The program is based on scriptures that not only lead people to healing but also to be the person God created them to be.
