God filled my heart with a much greater peace, helped me to heal from bitterness and anger, and showed me in many ways the companionship He and others are providing on this journey. He was firm with me too at times, in areas I needed a different more mature perspective. He replaced many of my negative thoughts with positive thoughts, and provided me with greater tools to combat Satan in my thought life.
