true freedom

When I began this study, I was struggling with people-pleasing and felt the need to perform in order to receive affection. I realized that many painful experiences from my childhood had distorted my view of God and the world around me. Through this study, I became aware of how I was living in bondage and leading a restless Christian life. Although I appeared put together on the outside, I was struggling internally. By confronting the pain and bitterness I had been carrying, bringing them before the Lord, repenting, and releasing them into His hands, I found healing. I also learned the importance of offering forgiveness to those who had hurt me and seeking forgiveness from those I had hurt. In doing so, I finally experienced true freedom as a Christian.
