Dr. Ellen is the Senior Pastor of Community of Faith Bible Church in Houston Texas and Senior Professor of Biblical Counseling at the College of Biblical Studies in Houston, Texas. Dr. Ellen is also a Visiting Professor and Co-Director of the MABC and D Min program at Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Plymouth, Minnesota. In addition, Dr. Ellen has also developed a biblical counseling training center called Expository Counseling Training Center LLC. He received his B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Houston, Houston, Texas, his M.A. in Christian Education from Dallas Theological Seminary, Dallas, Texas, his M.A. in Biblical Counseling from The Masters University, Santa Clarita, California, his Doctorate of Ministry with a concentration in Biblical Counseling from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary Louisville, Kentucky and his PH.D in Biblical Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Ellen is a both Fellow and a certified Biblical Counselor with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC), and travels nationwide with the organization teaching biblical counseling principles. Dr. Ellen and his wife Dr. Venessa Ellen have two children and four grandchildren.

Chris is a retired Air Force Master Sergeant serving 23 years all over the world. He served twice in Iraq and was a Weapons Controller in a mobile radar squadron. He is now fully retired after 19 years as a Defense Contractor, building simulation exercises for military training with all branches of the service. He holds a BS in Biblical Studies from Moody Distance Learning and serves as an elder at Faith Church Rio Rancho preaching regularly as well as teaching adult Bible studies. Chris also serves as Chairman of the Local Mission Team and is involved with Across Nations Ministries to the Navajo Nation where he is one of the announcers on the Christian radio station operated by Across Nations. Chris has been married to his wife Becky for 38 years and they have two grown children.

Irene has been involved in Healing Hearts since 2019, recently accepting a promotion to serve as Regional Director for regions 5 and 6. She has served as a worship leader in some capacity through much of her adult life. Irene is mom to three beautiful girls and acquired a son-in-law in May 2021. Irene and her husband currently reside in North Carolina.
