Dear Friend,

Here we are a month into a new year and before you know it the year will be gone. Time just seems to fly by quickly in this fast pace world we are living in.

As I have pondered this New Year and sought the Lord regarding His will for my life and for Healing Hearts I sense an urgency in my heart to not let a day go by that I'm not seeking to do God's will. Time seems to be so very short and there is much work to accomplish for the Kingdom. It's not our desire or God's to manufacture a work of the flesh in this New Year that is upon us but to seek the face of God and His will for Healing Hearts.

We live in turbulent times. Our world is broken and trying to save itself rather than looking to the only One who has the answers....JESUS! Even in our churches rather than seeking the face of God we look to man to fix our problems.

The book of Jeremiah is the prophecy of a man divinely called in his youth from the priest-city of Anathoth. He was a heartbroken prophet with a heartbreaking message. He labored for more than forty years proclaiming a message of doom to the stiff-necked people of Judah. He was despised and persecuted for his message but he was obedient to God to deliver a message to God's people for the sake of deliverance. In Jeremiah 1:9 God says to Jeremiah "Behold, I have put My words in your mouth. See, I have appointed you this day over the nations and over the kingdoms, to pluck up and to break down, to destroy and to overthrow and to build and to plant." Judah was very much like the professing Christians in America today: stiff necked and fleshly driven.

In Jeremiah 1:14 it says "Then the LORD said to me, "Out of the north the evil will break forth on all the inhabitants of the land. (15) For, behold I am calling all the families of the kingdoms of the north," declares the Lord; "and they will come, and they will set each one his throne at the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem and against all it's walls round about, and against all the cities of Judah. (16) And I will pronounce My judgments on them concerning all their wickedness, where by they have forsaken Me and have offered sacrifices to other gods, and worshiped the works of their own hands."

In Jeremiah 2:7 the Lord says to Judah "And I brought you into the fruitful land, to eat its fruit and its good things. But you came and defiled My land. And My inheritance you made an abomination. (8) The priests did not say, ‘where is the Lord?' And those who handle the law did not know Me; The rulers also transgressed against Me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal and walked after things that did not profit. (9) Therefore I will yet contend with you declares the LORD. And with your sons' sons I will contend. (10) For cross to the coastlands of Kittim and see, and send to Kedar and observe closely, and see if there has been such a thing as this! (11) Has a nation changed gods, when they were not gods? But My people have changed their glory for that which does not profit. Be appalled, O heavens at this, and shudder, be very desolate, declares the LORD. (13) For My people have committed two evils; They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, to hew for themselves cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water."

I believe Jeremiah speaks to our nation today to repent from our wickedness and seek Gods face and return to Him. When will we see that broken cisterns will not hold water and all of our attempts outside of God are only futile!

As much as it broke my heart to see the slaughter of those innocent children in Connecticut, what breaks my heart and God's even more is the fact that 1.2 million children are murdered every year in their mothers' wombs. Christians and non-Christians alike are up in arms about the shooting in Connecticut but we never see the same outcry for the millions of babies who are aborted. Who will come to their defense? Would a God-seeking obedient people allow such things to happen? We have!

Last year the U. S. Government gave Planned Parenthood 542 million dollars to destroy life and ministries like Healing Hearts, by the grace and provision of God, are left to clean up the mess. We thank God every day for the salvation and healing that we see as we reach out to broken women and men offering the only true hope and healing which is found in God's Word. Lives are transformed, marriages are saved, and families are restored....one at a time!

We thank you for your prayers and we are truly grateful for your monthly contributions that help us change a broken world one heart at a time. We hope that you will prayerfully consider supporting us on a monthly basis. Your dollars will bear eternal dividends!

May the Lord bless and keep you always.

In His Love,

International Director
