Self Help doesn’t help

This is the third study I have completed for post-abortion healing. There was something more each time. I know others that say the same. And that is how it is with His Word in general. No matter how many times you go through the Bible verse by verse, there is always more.

I appreciate a study that partners with those who would pray over the sessions, it means a lot. When God shows up, He shakes up the strongholds, idols and barriers to healing. He shows new things as His Word is opened, and is pleased when we gather and encourage each other, telling each other the truth.

Self-help never helped me. Psychotherapy helped me see what went wrong, without giving a cure. Hand-holding does not help; it actually can create monsters who have left reality. Social media and modern wisdom does not and cannot heal. This study is not for the timid. It is hard, truth telling in a no-judgement zone. It is putting your story into the light of Christ’s story, and that is how I got free, and stay free. It is not one and done. It is not a product. It is a life-changing relationship.
