I had been struggling with guilt and shame for ten years over an abortion. After another uncomfortable sermon in church that discussed abortion, I prayed for help. I needed comfort, I knew that I was forgiven. I confessed and I turned from my sin, but I could not get rid of the guilt and shame.
In this bible study, I learned so much about God and his love. I now understand Jesus’ sacrifice and God’s grace. I have been encouraged and finally freed from my sins. Through the study, God showed me how I was sinning against Him by not feeling worthy of His sacrifice and all the symptoms that came from my sin affected other areas of my life with anger and bitterness. I am so thankful for the prayers and encouragement I received from my counselor along the way. I will be seeking God daily from now on and learning more about God’s love, His grace and how sufficient God is in my life. Thank you and I pray that more bible studies will come along, that God uses me to help others and not to be ashamed to give Him all the praise and glory.
