Healing Hearts Ministries Internaional [LOGO]

Dear Friend,

We are just a few days away from one of the most important presidential elections our nation has ever known. I'm asking you to fervently pray for God's people to vote on the side of life and righteousness. Millions of Christians did not vote in our last presidential election. Our ability to vote is a God given freedom that we need to exercise. I would also like to ask that you talk with your friends, neighbors and co-workers and use this as an opportunity to share your faith with them. Boldly proclaim why it is important that we not depart from those Godly principles that made our country the greatest country in the world and encourage them to vote in this election. Pray for God to have mercy on our nation and its leaders.

On October 23rd Healing Hearts held its International Conference and training in Hebron, Kentucky. We are happy to announce the following individuals who were trained as leaders. Please pray for these ladies as they return to their home churches and start their ministries. Pray that God will grant them favor with their church leadership and their congregations and that they will bear much fruit for the Kingdom.

Lima Peru Update

We are very excited to announce we will be taking a small team of three (Sue Liljenberg, Adena DeLillo & Cindy Bradlee) to Lima Peru January 30, 2013 to do a one day intensive training with the women who completed a Healing Hearts Bible study this past year at the Vida Nueva Centro Prenatal Crisis Pregnancy Center in Lima. The ministry there is doing very well. Funds are needed to do the first printing of the Spanish Studies in Peru. If you would like to make a donation please designate your donation "Peru Spanish Materials".

We will also be the guest speakers at a Pastors' Wives Retreat that will be held the following week where we will have the opportunity to share the ministry with 14 Pastors' wives representing 14 different churches in Peru.

Please pray for open hearts to receive our message and for God to minister healing to these women so they can go back and minister to the women in their churches.

Teen Study Update

This fall the Youth Division of Healing Hearts Ministries has been very busy with pilot groups going through the new Bible study First Love: Embracing a Love that Lasts. Currently, there are 6 different pilot groups meeting on both the east and the west coasts with 9 leaders and 27 young ladies participating each week! These girls come from various backgrounds as diverse as living in a residential home to being rescued from the sex-trafficking industry to churched students who attend in public, private, and home schools. Their ages range from 12-18 years old. These girls are not simply doing a Bible study. Their First Love Bible study journals were designed to lead them to have an interactive experience with the Holy Spirit through God's Word. All throughout the week daily journal assignments provide them with critical thinking questions, a space to write "Love Notes" to God, places for creative expression concerning what they are learning (i.e. poems, song lyrics, or drawings), a space for prayer regarding heart concerns and more! During the weekly group meetings, they participate in fun, but purposeful group activities and heart-searching discussion questions that connect what they have already learned in the study with practical application.

One common thread for each group is that the author's testimony in the beginning has paved the way for transparent and honest conversations about the "tough" topics in life while building a bridge to understanding and applying biblical truths to their lives in a way that makes sense. Here are some of the comments generating from the groups:

"After we read the author's testimony [in the Introduction], the girls opened right up and said how much they could relate to it and how similar things have happened to them."

"The girls really ‘got' the lesson that talked about being [created as] God's masterpiece. These girls are all abandoned, abused or neglected, so knowing God created them, values them, and loves them really means a lot!"

Referring to a group activity, one leader said, "Loved it. They really got into it…a lot of laughter and fun that led to some great conversation. I find they are much more honest and open when we are discussing while their hands are doing something."

What are they learning about relationships? "We spent a lot of time discussing the concept of planning for a wedding, but not for the marriage. They really got that and it led to great discussion about the analogies of their [love] relationship with the Lord."

One leader had a "must share" moment: "I left the room for a few moments while they were filling out their 3x5 prayer cards. When I returned they were holding hands and praying together on their own accord! My heart was so touched!"

As you can see God is moving in mighty ways. Will you prayerfully consider supporting us with a monthly contribution? Every dollar goes to help transform lives.
