Dear Friend,

This month's prayer letter is dedicated to updates concerning our upcoming mission trips. We appreciate your prayer covering for these faithful teams, who are reaching out with the hope and healing that Jesus alone can give.

Uganda Mission Trip, July 12-27, 2011

We are very excited to return to Uganda this year to teach and train additional Healing Hearts leaders who have been raised up since we left a small group of nationals to carry on the ministry back in April of 2010. We hope to train approximately 15 leaders in Kampala, the capitol city of Uganda, in how to effectively lead the Healing Hearts bible studies in their churches and community. In addition, we plan to teach how to give biblical counsel to those who seek answers from God's Word as they live through the daily struggles of life in Africa. This year we are blessed to be partnered with Pure Life Ministries, which helps individuals deal biblically with sexual sin. Their Director of Men's Counseling, Brad Furges, will be joining our team for the leadership training portion of our trip, to bring teaching and training to our male leaders, specifically in the area of sexual sin and walking in purity.

This year, we are excited to be expanding into two new areas of the country. We will be traveling to a village just outside of Kampala, as well as staying a few days in Eastern Uganda to share our testimonies of God's healing through His Word. Two of our Ugandan leaders requested that we travel with them to these areas. This is the truest sense of missions work! When national leaders catch the vision of God to bring people to Himself and have a burning desire to reach out into other areas of their own country for the Kingdom of Christ, they are fulfilling the Great Commission.

Additionally, we will go back into some of the slum areas where HIV and alcoholism are prevalent. Some of the leaders have also requested that we come and present the ministry to the women and men of their church, which is at the heart of Healing Hearts core values, to be a ministry within the church. Please be in prayer for our team of three ladies, Sue Sanford, Suzanne Tyria and myself, as we journey to Uganda to serve others and share God's healing for the nations.

Please prayerfully consider helping this mission financially, as we still need approximately $1,800 to be fully funded. Please designate your donation "Uganda Mission" on your check. Credit card donations can be made via our website, www.healinghearts.org, by clicking the Please Donate button. We especially covet your prayers for safety as we travel and to accomplish our God-given mission.

Blessings in Christ,
Camille Cates, Team Leader, Uganda

Romania Mission Trip, September 2011

Dr. Damaris Ardelean hopes to have a woman's conference in September in Craiova, Romania. The dates have not yet been set. She wants the women leaders of Romania to see the Binding Up the Brokenhearted study translated into Romanian. The translation should be completed by then and copies made. She wants to cover the material in the study in 2 to 3 days and to get a team of women who desire to minister to the hurting all across Romania. She plans to invite approximately 100 women leaders, at least one from every church that is associated with the Baptist Union of Romania. The Baptist Union is in support of her plans. She has the connections to have television and radio coverage and desires to see that happen. 75% of every pregnancy in Romania ends in abortion and is even higher among the Gypsy population. We hope to have the opportunity to reach out to the women among the Gypsy population while we are there.

I have been invited to speak and to teach the women about the need for post-abortive healing. I will need to raise the funds needed to go, as my husband plans to travel with me. We will be staying at the church where Dr. Ardelean's father preaches, where our lodging and meals will be provided for us.
We will be flying into Bucharest and traveling by train to Craiova. Craiova is a beautiful area but very dark spiritually. Many Christian organizations have tried to plant ministries there but have not succeeded. There are less than 1% of people who claim to be Christians in this area, but the witches, satanists and gypsy fortune tellers are rampant. There are several cults in close proximity to the Ardelean's church, where the conference will be held. We need prayer for spiritual coverage, for a breakthrough of the darkness, for translation costs and printing costs, plus funds to travel. If you wish to donate to this vital mission, please designate your donation "Romania Mission" on your check. Credit card donations can be made via our website, www.healinghearts.org, by clicking the Please Donate button.

Blessings and thanks,
Kathy Kennard, Team Leader, Romania
