 One of the highlights of our ministry occurs each year when our certified counselors all gather together at our annual Healing Hearts National Conference. At the close of our first night, we get to acknowledge all of the new graduates in attendance and celebrate their completion of training. Becoming a Healing Hearts Certified Counselor takes many hours (months, actually!) of diligent study and application. We love to celebrate their hard work and God’s faithfulness as they join us in the calling to serve others through Healing Hearts.
Even though each certified counselor has already completed close to 6 months of training to graduate from our training program, in many ways, their training is just the beginning. Our annual National Conference is just one example of how we continue to invest in the ongoing training of our by bringing in solid biblical teachers and speakers to sharpen our skills as biblical counselors and disciplers.
Why do we put such a high importance on training? Because training for godliness and righteousness is one of the ways God intended to keep His followers from error. The Bible is our greatest source for truth (Ephesians 4:12), and for training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16). As we study the Word together, it is our desire that our counselors may continue to...
...grow in their knowledge of Jesus to develop a more intimate relationship with Him so that more of Him may be seen in their lives (more grace, more mercy, more love.) (2 Peter 3:18)
...fan the flame of their spiritual gifts. Just like Paul writing to Timothy, we also want to encourage our leaders to recognize that the Lord has gifted them to use their giftings for His Glory and for building up the Body of Christ. (2 Timothy 1:6-7)
 PRAY WITH US, that each of our trainees and counselors would be shaped and molded through Healing Hearts’ training efforts, so that they may become more like Christ, able to effectively minister to those He brings their way.
 NATIONAL CONFERENCE 2025
Did you know that we hold a Healing Hearts National Conference annually to provide our leaders with continued training and encouragement? Each September, we come together to lift one another up and learn more about how God’s Word applies to specific counseling topics. This year, we’ll gather to receive special training from Virgil Walker on “Right Dividing” the Word of God, with additional Workshops on select doctrinal errors challenging the church in our day, and special scriptural lessons by elder/teacher Chris Risk.
PRAY WITH US during the conference days of September 18th-21st, that this event would be one of joyous worship, loving fellowship, building each other up, and encouraging one another's faith (Hebrews 10:24-25). Pray for all the details (travel, technical, and accomodations) to go smoothly for everyone and that our leadership will experience a great mix of encouragement and challenge as we grow together. This is always a special time.
As we take time to celebrate all of our newest leaders, we invite you to celebrate with us, too! Please pray for each of these new leaders as they begin ministering with Healing Hearts in their communities, and pray for our relocating leaders as they reestablish their ministry in new locations:
