Healing Hearts Ministries Internaional [LOGO]

Dear Friend,

This month, we’ve asked three more of our Regional Directors to share updates and prayer requests from their respective states. There is much to be praying for! Please join us in lifting up our directors, the women and men ministering with them in their states, and the communities and individuals they are impacting. You can get in touch with any of our Regional Directors by visiting www.healinghearts.org/regions

Teresa Rinker, Region #1 – Pacific Northwest (50 HH Certified Biblical Counselors)

Please pray for ALASKA and WYOMING, as we currently do not have any active leaders serving in these two states.

WASHINGTON – Pray that the ministry can expand into new churches and for additional men to lead the men’s studies. Presently, we have 9 women actively studying to become certified; one is on the East Side of the State and one is in the South where we have no other certified leaders! Five of these trainees are Russian speaking, bilingual women and we are excited for ministry to grow in this community. Please pray for the churches and pro-life communities as we prepare for our State to respond to the SCOTUS decision by becoming a Sanctuary State. One such church wants to put up a large banner advertising Healing Hearts. Please pray for the Russian church we are working with as they seek to help us with updated translations of our studies.

OREGON – Pray for a newly relocated leader to find a church that will partner with her ministry. Also, pray for pastors in Central Oregon to accept Healing Hearts into their churches. One leader asks for clarification for her role in Healing Hearts and as she searches for a new church.

IDAHO – Leaders here would like more men to lead the men’s ministry and consistency in getting the Word out to area pastors. Please pray for God to soften the hearts of hurting men and women in the church and for more leaders in Idaho. Pray also that women who have been referred to Healing Hearts would follow through and be healed.

MONTANA – Leaders here would like prayer for favor in area churches, especially in pro-choice areas that have been very vocal since the SCOTUS decision. One newly relocated leader needs a new church and for God to prepare her for ministry there. Another leader’s pastor has retired…she lives in a very remote area on a large cattle ranch.

Thank you for partnering with us in prayer as we labor to “proclaim Him that we may present everyone mature in Christ with His energy that powerfully works in us.” (Colossians 1:28-29)

Terri Knotts, Region #2 – Pacific Southwest (28 HH Certified Biblical Counselors)

I ask for prayers for our new leaders who will be leading their first groups this fall or early next year—a potential total of 8-10 first-time group leaders! With this many new leaders, pray for all of our Region 2 leaders to step up and help them through their first year.

Pray for the health and protection for our leaders. This year we have experienced many challenges—loss of family, attacks on marriages and family, loss of income, and health.

Pray for the Lord to raise up Area Coordinators as Region 2 has only one full time AC at this time.

Pray for the best use of our time and resources, and the wisdom to leave all else behind for His Glory and His purposes. We desire to be led by His Spirit, totally dependent on His Power, full of humility and grace.

Personally, please pray that I might have an extra measure of His grace and love to lead well. I feel stretched at times, and I need reminders that He will not give me what He will not sustain me through. I need wisdom and humility to make the hard decisions with a pure heart before the Lord. I want to speak graciously always, to encourage with love, and remain humble and acknowledge when I am wrong.

Cathy Mulvey, Region #3 / #5 – Mid-North / Great Lakes (36 HH Certified Biblical Counselors)

These 2 combined regions spread from Ohio to North Dakota, with most of our leaders residing in Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Praise God that our leaders continue to be faithful servants—instruments that minister the Word of God to brokenhearted women through groups, online, and one-on-one. Praise the Lord that we’ve seen several clients receive Christ over the past few months, with many others experiencing changed lives.

The Lord has led a few of our long-term leaders to retirement from Healing Hearts Ministry. It’s been an honor to learn from them and serve God’s Kingdom with them, and we thank them for their faithfulness. Some leaders have been dealing with significant health issues, death in their families, wayward children, and financial strain, just to name a few trials. Please pray for these leaders that they will not grow weary in their hardships and that they will keep their eyes focused on the beauty of the Lord throughout their trial.

On a different note: with the recent overturn of Roe v Wade and its ongoing attention in the news, some of our leaders have found that it’s actually created opportunities to dialogue and give their testimony with family, friends, neighbors, church groups, and pastoral leadership. Some of these conversations have also allowed them to offer Healing Hearts as a resource to other post-abortive men and women. While ministering with post-abortive women, we’ve been finding that they often either do not know that abortion is a sin, or they don’t agree that it is. These are churched women, and it’s been heartbreaking to discover this as a trend in our moderately conservative, churched communities. However, it is to the glory of God that He brought each of these women to us and that a majority of them came to agree with Him that their abortion is a sin, leading them to godly sorrow and repentance. Please pray the Lord continues to draw those who are caught in this deceit to the truth of His Word.
