Before we wrote our newest study, The Good Fight: God’s Plan for Every Man, many hurting non-post-abortive men agreed to go through our post-abortion study (Restoring a Father’s Heart), never expecting what God would do as they let His Word penetrate their hearts.Matt’s testimony below says it well: “During and since the completion of this study, I have recommended [Healing Hearts] to several other men struggling with family and issues of the past. I had no experience with abortion. However, I found myself consistently blowing up in anger at my wife, and sometimes turning to sexual sin to solve my hurt and calm my anger. As I worked through the study, I was reminded afresh of the sacrifice of Christ on my behalf. I had forgotten. Page 72 of the study reminded me that, We can easily forget that flesh and bone hung by iron nails on a cross. We forget that every nerve in Jesus’ body was excruciatingly aware of even the slightest move He made against the rough wood. We forget the beatings and the scourging by Roman soldiers that marred Him, leaving Him unrecognizable as a human being. We forget that the only One who could breathe life into man could now only struggle for breath as He pushed against the spike piercing His feet. Most importantly, we forget the incomprehensible horror and the shame He endured as He bore the sins of mankind past, present, and future.  As the one who bore my sin, guilt, and shame, Jesus was the only One who could set me free. He brought me through many places of pain in my soul to set me free through the process of forgiveness and repentance. He has restored estranged relationships, brought freedom and joy, and a new desire that He be glorified in my life. There is still a battle with my flesh every day, but He is at work, and I am grateful. As the words of a worship song by Cody Carnes says, ‘My heart found a surgeon, my soul found a friend. So I run to the Father, again and again and again and again.’”- Matt Praise God for the good work that He’s accomplished in the lives of men like Matt! We are so thankful for the many supporters that have contributed over the years toward helping us write and publish The Good Fight, which we released nine months ago in the Fall of 2021. Both of our men’s studies – The Good Fight and Restoring a Father’s Heart – are available online, with male counselors ready to minister to any man who is ready to identify and heal from life-dominating issues, past or present. All of our counselors have been through the healing process and can testify to the power of God’s Word to heal a wounded soul. As we continue to grow our men’s ministry, we are extending a special invitation to pastors, elders, or other qualified ministry church leaders to apply for authorization to purchase and lead our men’s studies in their own churches. We have already had the opportunity to partner with six new churches through this program and are praying for the fruit God will bring through their outreach to men. There, they will be able to read a little about the studies and submit an application for authorized use of our men’s materials.  PRAY WITH US: For our 6 male Healing Hearts Certified Counselors currently trained and ministering with our men’s studies—that they would be encouraged and strengthened for the work ahead; For the Lord to raise up more men to serve as Healing Hearts study leaders in their churches; For men to be courageous to seek out the healing and restoration that only God’s Word can bring about; For the current translation work being performed to bring both men’s studies to Spanish-speaking regions. PRAY FOR ROE v. WADE: We certainly pray for the Supreme Court to reverse legalized abortion. This erroneous ruling has misled so many people to seek abortion as an easy way out. But our heart is especially bound to the “walking wounded” who currently live with the guilt of a past abortion. Our experience has shown us that increased news cycles and debates around abortion are often when post-abortive individuals feel their greatest guilt and deepest pain. Pray that God would be merciful to them and bring them to full repentance and true healing. Ask also that God would keep you sensitive to the unseen struggle others may be going through over abortion and that He would help you be ready to share Healing Hearts with them!Thank you for praying, giving, and serving with us! Our first-half goal (for January to June) was to raise $75,000 toward our larger annual budget. As of this printing, we have raised roughly 50% of that goal, with 30 days remaining. To be clear, this is not a call to panic. We simply want to make the needs known. God has always been faithful to supply – and we know He’ll be faithful again.
