Healing Hearts is helping moms fulfill this God-given desire.Read this testimony from a young woman who attended our Walking Together conference for moms and teen daughters earlier this year.  Wow! What a testimony to how God works in the hearts of moms and daughters together for His glory. God's faithfulness in helping women walk together in Christ extends even further to youth mentors (what I call "spiritual mommas"), grandmothers and even great-grandmothers. At our most recent Walking Together conference, a sweet elderly woman approached me and shared, "Thank you so much for coming. The Church needs to be discussing these topics more and helping parents and teenagers." I encouraged her that this is what we were there to do...equip women with God's Word so they can face real-life issues together. She brought her great-granddaughter with her and we are so glad she did! "Older women are to teach the younger women what is good, so they may encourage them..." - Titus 2:4 Throughout the conference, we were able to have a little fun while still addressing tough issues like walking in faith instead of fear, peace instead of anger and grace instead of perfection. Your support of this ministry and the vision to bridge communication with younger and older women through the Walking Together conferences is appreciated deeply. One of our biggest goals has been to help women go deeper with discipleship at home and in their churches by using the "First Love" Bible study. It is a thrill to tell you that, after the conference, about 20 moms and daughters had signed up to go through the "First Love" Bible study in small groups. The Healing Hearts ministry team also had incredible opportunities to minister to hurting moms and daughters. There were many tears shed and prayers offered on behalf of broken families as women came to us asking for help. We are so thankful to have some trained leaders in the area to continue the ministry after the conference. For those who traveled from five other states (including New York!), we were able to offer our online Bible studies to help them continue what God had started in their hearts that day. Many of our attendees heard about the Walking Together conference through radio (106.9 the Light), social media, and other ministry events. One lady I talked with found the conference information on our website after she heard the "Hope and Healing for Those Hurting from Abortion" presentation I did for Answers in Genesis' Answers for Women conference last year (this video is now available to view on our homepage under the video section.) What a blessing to see God weaving these separate events together, to make a difference not only in the life of this woman, but her daughter as well. Our outreach through radio, social media and other speaking events is only possible because of the generous donations of people, like you, who support our ministry. PLEASE PRAY WITH US: for moms and daughters to do the hard work of applying the truths taught from God's Word to their relationships; for healing of relationships that were broken; for the women and teens who will be participating in the "First Love" Bible study - that they stay committed; for future conference opportunities (we are currently starting to book for 2017).
